International Trade Goods And Services - 2389 Words
Global economy is the exchange of goods and services combined into a huge global market. It is practically a world without borders, inhabited by marketing individuals as well as companies who have joined the geographical world with the intent of conducting research and development and making sales. International trade permits countries to concentrate in the resources they have. Countries benefit by producing goods and services they can provide most cheaply and by buying the goods and services other countries can provide most cheaply. International trade makes it possible for more goods to be produced and for more demands to be satisfied than if every country tries by itself to be produce everything its needs. Today, following the advances in technology have led to the quick expansion of the global trade. (Trueman, 2016) There were three suggested factors that accelerated the economic globalization, the advancement of science and technology, the market focused on economic reforms and the contributions by many businesses worldwide. The decrease in cost due to transportation and communication were also an important part in the growth of globalization. Since the 1930s, ocean shipping costs decrease by half, airfreight also change by about an 85% and telecommunications was about 99%. Table 1 shows the reduction of transportation in the years 1930 across the ocean (Trueman, 2016) The General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade/World Trade Organization (GATT/WTO) created the framework that led participating countries to reduce their tariff and non-tariff barriers to trade. Governments shifted their economies from central planning to markets. There internal improvements allowed enterprise to adjust more quickly and exploit opportunities created by technology shifts. Multinational businesses reorganized production to take advantage of these opportunities. Labor intensive production migrated to areas with lower labor costs, later followed by other functions as skill levels increased. In 1956 the creation of containerized shipping

Sexuality And Modernity Bruce Nugent s Modernist Aesthetic
Sexuality and Modernity: Bruce Nugentââ¬â¢s Modernist Aesthetic Within the purview of new scholarship conducted on the expression of black queer sexuality during the Harlem Renaissance, scholars are quick to acknowledge the longstanding critical reticence to address such expression. Only relatively recently have scholars been willing to analyze queerness not just as negligible intimation of sexual otherness, but as a significant thematic pulse that shaped and fashioned the Renaissance into the dynamic literary and artistic movement that we study today. In many ways, the historical silence of literary critics on homoerotic love mirrors the hesitation by early Renaissance writers to explore these topics in their poetry and fiction for fear of confirming racist sexual stereotypes. In keeping with the ââ¬Å"New Negroâ⬠creed of respectability, intellectuals such as W.E.B. DuBois and Alain Locke espoused a code of racial uplift that necessitated a certain kind of asceticism vis-à -vis human sexuality. But the cadre of young Harlem Renaissance writers known as the Niggeratti changed the face of the movement significantly when they challenged the prudish, conservative critics and intellectuals by writing shocking stories and poems that directly confronted themes of primitivism, overt sexuality and homosexuality (Schwartz 122). Chief among them, Bruce Nugent, ââ¬Å"refused to bear the black artistââ¬â¢s ââ¬Ëburden of representation,â⬠rendering his queer characters shamelessly and rebuffing theShow MoreRelatedOne Significant Change That Has Occurred in the World Between 1900 and 2005. Leading and Managing People Great Leadership Entails
Question: Describe about the Leading and Managing People for Great Leadership Entails. Answer: Introduction Great leadership entails some principals that cut across all leaders. Great leaders know the importance of values, morals, characteristics, and the way to empower those who they led (Day Antonakis, 2012). In this essay, I will formulate a leadership model that will incorporate teamwork, ethics, and leadership management. Teamwork refers to the ability of a leader to help his employee work as one unit to achieve more than they can achieve on an individual level. Ethics in leadership helps the leaders and the employees to understand what is required of them by the company policy and other laws used to formulate the code of ethics. Management incorporates aspect of planning, organization, and coordination in the leadership model. Objectives and Application In such a time of change and innovation, my leadership model involves flexibility to allow me lead even during a crisis or messy times (Daft, 2012). The model strives to create an environment that is inviting, warm, and nurturing. In the book, Leading in a Culture of Change, Michael Fullen states that great leaders foster leadership in others, thereby making them dispensable in the long run. I want a leader producer or a leader of leaders. In the management world, leaders are faced with many challenges. I concur with Garca-Morales, Jimnez-Barrionuevo Gutirrez-Gutirrez (2012), that as a leader it is important to learn how to mobilize individuals so that they know how to tackle tough issues. Leadership is not all about creating solutions but helping others learn how to indentify issues and mobilize them to address such problems. As a leader, I need to discuss the convergence of skills and ideas that would be effective to the leadership model. One leader cannot be effective in management role alone, every team member need to converge their efforts to help in identifying problems and finding solutions (Von Krogh, Nonaka Rechsteiner, 2012). Another important aspect that is considered in my leadership model is ethics and moral purpose. As a leader in the education sector, I want my team to understand the importance of ethics and the necessity of following these regulations for positive results. A leadership mole cannot be complete without relevant codes of ethics that provide guidance on the application of the leadership model. I want my followers to understand these codes and follow them; failure to respect the ethics would lead to dare consequences. My leadership model has the ability to understand and adapt to change. In any work environment, change is inevitable (Offermann, Kennedy Wirtz, 2014, p.50). The current organizational culture tend to forget that even the lowest level of employees have desires, wants, needs. My leadership model will give all employee or followers to learn how to be effective leaders. My model aspires to create leaders within the organisation. Management of change helps the employees to adjust accordingly and incorporate the required changes in their schedules and responsibilities (Burke, 2013). The world is changing and so is many industries, therefore, as leaders embracing change is important for effective management. My leadership model embraces an afflictive approach in order to incorporate ethics and moral purpose. I like the idea of employee working together and being on the same change. Relationships are another area that I want to develop in my leadership model, as I would want to constantly develop and work on this area. There are people who are negative and cynics in the work environment. It is important to move beyond such individuals and work to help them learn the importance of being positive even in uncertain situations. Skills, Traits, and Core Values According to Marion Gonzales (2013), the skills, and traits identified to correlate with my leadership model are determination, self-confidence, intelligence, and sociability. The results from the Strength Deployment inventory and the Myers-Briggs Type inventory assessment are important to my leadership model because they provide insight into my leadership potential, behavioral tendencies and personality traits. The core values that would be incorporated in my leadership model are trust, enthusiasm, passion, integrity, temperament, innovation, and humility. Intelligence Perceptual ability, strong verbal ability, and reasoning make an individual a better leader (Parris Peachey, 2013, p. 375). Based on this supposition, my outcomes on the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale third edition indicate that I have strong leadership potential. My verbal ability, which is a measure of vernal reasoning, measure of acquired information, and understanding of the verbal knowledge, is superior and above ninety-five percent of my peers. My verbal comprehension indices which is a measure of the verbal acquitted information, ability to comprehend and understand verbal presentation and verbal reasoning, exceeds ninety-six percent of my peers. In terms of reasoning and perceptual ability, mu perceptual organization range, which is a measure of spatial reasoning, fluid reasoning, visual motor integration, and attentiveness to details, exceeds that of seventy-three percent of my peers. Beyond the intelligence examination, my academic history indicates my high achievements. My intelligence helps me approach crisis, conflicts, new tasks, and challenges with the ability to reason, perceive, and conceptualism. My verbal abilities help me express myself clearly in spoken and written words. A leader needs the ability to speak with conviction, select his or her words wisely, and work through situations with a clear reasoning mode that is critical to his or her efficacy. Self-confidence Self-confidence refers to a persons ability to be certain about his or her skills and competencies. Self-confidence includes aspect of self-assurance, self-esteem and the belief that a person can make a difference (Harris et al., 2013). Self-confidence is critical to any leadership style because it allow the leader to feel that their attempt to influence their followers is right and appropriate. Assurance and confidence are developed through time and experience. Because of my responsibilities and experience as an employee and student, I have begun to acknowledge my leadership potential. With that in mind, I have struggled to have confidence especially at school and workplace. However, when I look back at my school life and work duties, I can confidentially say that I have made significant difference because I have inspired some of my colleagues and classmates. As a student leader, I questioned my influence and efforts, but later gained perspective on how to accomplish what I thought could help many people and to achieve a sense of self-assurance and success in my job. Determination According to Yukl (2012), determination refers to the desire to have a task done through persistence, initiative, drive, and dominance. A person who is focused and determined to complete or achieve some goals tend to be a good leader. Determination helps the leader to persevere in facing obstacles in their line of duty. That said, I have always viewed myself as a worker be or someone who is always ready to dive into responsibilities and achieve them through consistency and work methodologies. I also believe that my academic history indicate that I am a high achiever hence I am determined to succeed in whatever I decide to do. Integrity Integrity comprises qualities of loyalty, honesty, reliability, and trustworthiness. A man who has integrity follows a strong set of core values and principles, inspires confidence among those who follow him and take responsibility for his actions (Morrison, 2012). For a large part of life, I have been an employee, student, or both at the same time. At school and workplace, I have a strong sense of mission, core values, and purpose. Leadership Theories One of the most interesting leadership theories that I have learnt so far and best relate to my leadership model is path goal and situational theories. I find these theories complementary and I believe that many people are driven and motivated by goals in their professional and personal lives. Given my strength of being interested in peoples needs and want, and also being compassionate, my desire to assist others to achieve self-satisfaction and value their path goals to leadership. In summary, path goal theory explains to leaders how they can assist their subordinates along their way of achieving and realizing their goals by choosing specific behaviors that are suited to meet their wants and needs (Lussier Achua, 2015). A path goal manager assists employees to set and define goals, remove obstacles along the way, clarify their goal paths, and provide support along the path to goals fulfillment. Situational leadership focuses on the flexibility of the leader to assist the employees to find out their needs and adapt a leadership style that will help them achieve such needs. The theory reminds leaders to treat each of their followers differently based on the tasks and seek opportunities that subordinate their new traits and skills and become confident in their responsibilities. I believe that as a successful leader I need to be high task and relationship orientated. I need to keep my eyes in the price and have a desire to help my followers achieve their wants, needs and have a feeling of belongingness. Conclusion My leadership journey has begun, and my potential have been accessed and discovered but not fully realized. As a student, I have learnt how be confident in my ability to be leader and has persuaded me to work on my weaknesses. I desire to cultivate skills, knowledge, and disposition to maintain and develop effective leadership skills. I seek to explore several leadership models, theories, and styles to analyze, and learn how to identify and address organizational issues and cultures. Moreover, I want to know how to improve my communication skills to be in a better position to solve problems, lead as an example and empower those around me. Shaped and based on education, experience, skills, personality, traits, my philosophy, and my constitution of leadership model will be representative and organisation of the confidence of the emotional spirit and learned mind. Bully Prevention Program free essay sample
This program has become successful at the Midway elementary school in Utah, because it is ran off of four hallmarks which are: Lead to systematic change, garner commitment for all, teach comprehensive strategies and skills and continue year after year. Within the paper, I will discuss my belief of the succession of this type of program in an elementary school setting in inner city Philadelphia schools. Bully Prevention Program In recent years, bullying within schools has become one of the most serious issues we have been faced with. Data shows that children as young as age 11 have committed suicide because they were no longer able to deal with the pressure of being bullied. Because of this and other factors involving school bullying, congress have begun to work on a legislation called the safe school improvement act, which require schools to collect data and establish certain guidelines regarding disciplinary actions and they must also come up with a system to register complaints to combat bullying within their schools. We will write a custom essay sample on Bully Prevention Program or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page However, since this is not a law that has been enacted, Brent Burnham, a school counselor at Midway Elementary School in Midway, Utah has decided to implement her own school wide bullying prevention program at her school. The bully prevention program at Midway elementary was implemented 7 years ago. Within the program, Burnham has developed four core principles that she believes has made their program successful. The first of the four principles is, lead to systematic change. This principle says that there must be a change within the school at all levels and there must be a change ithin the community as well, because in order for the program to be successful, you must change the culture of the schools environment. The second principle that Burnham implemented was garner commitment for all. This principle says that all of the schools staff, including the school bus driver, should be on board with the implementation of the program for the program to be a success. The third principle in the bully prevention program is, to teach comprehensive strategies and skills. This principle says that effective programs must be comprehensive and there are certain skills that are required by the staff so that they can identify a bullying situation. And the final principle is to continue year after year. In order for the program to be a full success, it must be consistent in what it provides. Often times, schools will start a program but will not follow through with it year after year and the program will then fizzle out. The bully prevention program at Midway elementary also has key components which are implemented sequentially. These components are, administrative support: you must have the support from the staff and the school administration, and a strong support team. Data: proper record keeping must be kept; also the program should be evaluated. Staff training: all staff should be trained on how to recognize and identify bullies and their victims and also be able to determine if a situation is a true violation of the no bullying policy that has been set forth. Student awareness and education: all should be fully aware of the bully policy and clear on the consequences if the policy is violated. There should also be lessons taught to the students about bullying and bully prevention. Critical social skills training to the students: Once the basics have been taught to the students, they will still need additional training on this policy so continuous guidance lesson plans will need to be developed and taught throughout the school. Lastly, targeted intervention for bullies and victims: by keeping proper records of the bullying incident that occur within the school, it will be easy to identify bullies and their targeted victims. Once these children are identified, there will be specific programs for these children. The bullies will express why it is they bully and help will be provided to those students and the victims so they can try to get over the fear they may have. After reading this article, I find that there are some pros and cons to this type program being implemented at inner city schools in Philadelphia. One pro of having this type of program would be to lower the crime rate within the schools. Often times, children bullying other children lead to more violent crimes, for instance, the shooting that happened at Columbine High School in Columbine, Colorado. Two students embarked on a massacre killing 12 of their classmates and one teacher because they were fed up with being bullied. By having this type of program and addressing these issues early, these types of crimes or less serious crimes can be prevented. Another pro to this type of program is that it teaches children social skills and teach them how to manager their anger and behavior. This program can increase the childrenââ¬â¢s level of awareness on how bullying can extremely affect their victims and themselves. Another pro to the bully prevention program is that it offers training to the staff. This is a great idea so that everyone will be on the same page in the fight to eliminate and prevent bullying. Also, providing intervention to the bullies is great as well. You have to teach children things while they are young. If this type of program is successfully implemented in elementary schools and in middle and high schools, bullying can be virtually eliminated. However, with pros, there are also cons to the program. One con is trying to get everyone on board. Within the city of Philadelphia, it is historically known that many parents do not partake in their childââ¬â¢s education in the manner that they should, this is one reason why the high school dropout rate is so high. So; trying to get parents on board for the no bullying program may be hard. Since this program is set up for all stakeholders to be involved, without parents help, the program may not be as successful. Another con to this program is the term and definition of bullying being misunderstood and misinterpreted by the staff that is to put into action the consequences for this behavior. What you do not want to happen is, children who are simply horse playing or just kidding around with one another being accused of bullying when that was not the case. The training to the staff must be thorough and put into clear plain terms so little is left to be assumed. With bullying becoming an epidemic, I believe this type of program is definitely needed and has the potential to be successful within all levels of schools within the School District of Philadelphia. The program may need to be tweaked for each grade level (elementary, middle and high school) but if it is implemented properly it could be a success. School counselors are in a unique position with having to put in place such a program and to be sure that it work, but this is why they are trained very well to address these types of social emotional behaviors. Although the pros of having such a program out weight the cons, the major problem that could be a potential road block for implementing the program is funding. The School District of Philadelphia has reached a plateau in its budget deficit and recently laid off many of its employees including the superintendent. However, with the right proposal for the program, I can not see this being turned down by the board. I think this is something that is definitely needed so that we as counselors can save our children and our community. References Burnham, Brent. (2011, July 1). So no matter how many applications you send out, youââ¬â¢re still only working with about 20% of whatââ¬â¢s out there. There are also a number of common myths and misconceptions that can derail even the most tenacious of job seekers. Debunking these can do a world of difference. Hereââ¬â¢s two things to remember:You donââ¬â¢t need a great deal of experience (or sometimes even any) to get your dream job.You donââ¬â¢t have to settle until you get that job.So where does that leave you and your job search? You must always be prepared with a pitchThe best thing for job seekers to do- and this wonââ¬â¢t come as much of a surprise- is network. Network, network, network. That means first and foremost, coming up with a convincing and charming eleva tor pitch. An answer to the ubiquitous question: ââ¬Å"So tell me about you.â⬠Youââ¬â¢ll need to craft this perfectly to show your goals, experience, selling points, and just how perfect you are to match a potential employerââ¬â¢s needs. Then youââ¬â¢ll need to rehearse it until it comes out of your mouth as naturally as an exhale.Be sure to include a goal statement at the end. ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m â⬠¦. and interested in â⬠¦. and currently hoping to transition into â⬠¦ ideally in the X industry.â⬠Stating your job search need as a goal ensures that youââ¬â¢re never outright asking anyone for favors; youââ¬â¢re simply stating who you are and what youââ¬â¢re looking for, which wonââ¬â¢t annoy or offend any potential contacts. The shorter and simpler, the betterââ¬âjust be smartWhen youââ¬â¢re working on your resume, be sure to err on the side of brevity. DO include bullet points to maximize easy reading, but donââ¬â¢t include too many - and make sure the ones you do include are each doing something for you. Make them as results-driven as possible, rather than heavy on the job description. Lead with your best bullet.Once you get an interview, be sure to be as well prepared as you were for networking. Though, there, the big question is ââ¬Å"Tell us a little about your biggest weakness.â⬠You may have been told that the best strategy here is to claim that youââ¬â¢re an incurable perfectionist. The internet, more often than not, will counsel you in this direction. But the Internet is wrong. Youââ¬â¢ll just sound insincere. The better strategy is to choose something youââ¬â¢ve actually been working to improve. Explain how it was a challenge to you in the past, and what youââ¬â¢ve been doing, actively, to turn it into a strength instead. Give an example of your progress just to prove youââ¬â¢re not full of baloney.Itââ¬â¢s okay to make demandsOnce you get an offer, be sure not to roll over and accept the salary without question. It is okay and expected to negotiate. A few tips:Donââ¬â¢t be the first person to suggest a number. The person who speaks first in this arena alwaysIf they ask you to give a number first, deflect. Say that youââ¬â¢re negotiable, but youââ¬â¢d like to hear their range to see whether it fits for you.Do research before going into negotiations. Figure out what is standard at that company and in that position within the industry. And donââ¬â¢t ask for a number extremely outside of that range.Tell them instead that youââ¬â¢re being considered in the range of the top third of that bracket, but ensure that youââ¬â¢re negotiable. If you let go of some of the most common misapprehensions and job search myths, you should have a much better, clear-eyed approach that will likely start to get you the results you need.

This paper uses the implicit Association Test to measure the affiliations and biases that one has and how they would influence a leader and his job to lead an organization or a company. This paper uses the results of two tests in the IAT to examine the leadership traits present and also investigate the different aspects that generally need to be improved for one to be a great leader. The first test was complete to measure the racial preference score of an individual. The results were that the data suggested there is a slight preference for white people compared to black people. The second test measured how one associates a person with the good aspects of their lives and how the two related in filling up the study. For the second test the results revealed that there was no preference identified for one person or deeds over the other. In the two tests there is a difference in the type of results since although one shows that there is bias in terms of color the other shows one as a leader that can be able to handle the people without any form of bias. The two results are mixed, however, in the first test there is only a slight preference to the whites as compared to the black people in the society. The IAT results have revealed some facts about my preferences that I previously did not know that I had especially the preference to the Black people. I have considered myself to be very partial and not discriminative of the color of skin since I have been raised in a region where I have interacted with people from all racial backgrounds throughout my life. However, the fact that the results only give a slight preference in the preference scales reveals that although I may be considered to be biased it is at a very low and minimal scale. This further compounded by the second

Volcanoes and Climate Change Essay -- Geology Global Warming
Missing Graphics Volcanoes and Climate Change Introduction: Since the beginning of time, volcanoes have been wreaking havoc on the world, as we know it. Yet in the more recent times, there has been a great amount of debate regarding the effect of volcanic eruptions on world climate change. In this report, the effects of these volcanoes will be explored, particularly in regards to cooling and the depletion of the ozone. Table of Contents: Introduction General Information on Volcanoes Effect of Volcanoes on Cooling Effect of Volcanoes on Ozone Depletion Specific Volcanic Eruptions and their Effects Debate over Connection between Volcanoes and Global Climate Change Works Cited General Information on Volcanoes: Volcanoes arise when magma, liquid rock within the earth, reaches the surface. Volcanoes then erupt because of their bouyancy and gas pressure. On account of this buoyancy, the hot liquid magma rises toward the surface through the more dense rock. Gas pressure from within the magma also exerts a force on the surrounding rock. This cracks the rock, located above the magma, and then moves into the crack. This process is repeated over and over again until the magma reaches the surface. There are a few different types of volcanoes, and each erupts a bit differently. Shield volcanoes usually produce a fountain of molten lava that reaches high into the air, anywhere from 10 to 500 meters. In some eruptions, though, there is little fountaining; in these the lava just flows slowly away from the vent. There are also more explosive volcanic eruptions in which the gas pressure builds until it is extremely high and the viscuous lava can no longer stand i... ...because these volcanoes are located in different areas of the world or because El Nino occured during the year of the eruption of El Chichon. All of these evidences are still being compiled and scrutinized in order to verify the true relation between volcanic eruptions and climate change. Works Cited: Angell, James. Foodââ¬â¢s transformation from a fetid hobby to a youth-culture phenomenon happens remarkably fast. In these events, food becomes one of the primary reasons in motivating a person to travel (Idov, 2012). Culinary tourism covers beyond the dining experience. It includes a variety of culinary, agri-tourism and agri-food activities, developed specifically for tourists that showcase food and beverages. This also provides opportunity for visitors to discover dishes indigenous to each region while learning about its unique talents and creativity. The International Culinary Tourism Association also defines Culinary Tourism as, ââ¬Å"the pursuit of unique and memorable eating and drinking experiences.â⬠Cuisine is among the most flexible and dynamic elements of culture. It involves the blending of ingredients and preparations for different cultures. Agricultural diversification, food preservation technology, efficient transportation, awareness of new food preparation techniques, prestige foods and migrations into and out of communities have been ushering supplementary culinary traditions in the Philippines. Culinary traditions are important elements of a peopleââ¬â¢s history. As local tourism and heritage conservation become significant to community pride and income, histories about food are needed as reference for contemporary projects and planning. From the rugged cliffs and Ivatans of Batanes Islands through the sophisticated urbanites of Manila to the coral islands and Moslems of Tawi ââ¬â Tawi, this is a land of extraordinary contrast and variety (Hicks, 2005). Philippine cuisine begin with a simple fare, a variety of vegetables readily gathered from the environment ââ¬â yams such as taro, an assortment of leaves, coconut milk, fish, and chicken and pig, both of which are native to Southeast Asia. The Malay-Polynesian kitchen contributions such as coconut milk, varieties of rice, garlic, ginger, salted dried fish, shrimps, fish sauce, leaf-wrapped cuisine and roast pig are the staple. The use of peanuts and spices is more passive than in neighboring countries like Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. From the Chinese cuisine evolved the lumpia and pancit which have taken the form of pancit luglug, pancit guisado, pancit marilao, pancit palabok and pancit molo. Spanish cooking introduced meat boiled as in puchero, cooked in vinegar as in adobo, stewed in tomato sauce as in mechado and scopped out and restuffed as relleno; along with desserts like leche flan and pastry such as ensaimada (Roces, 2006). Preserving Order in Luther and Hobbes Essay - 2425 Words
Preserving Order in Luther and Hobbes Both Martin Luther and Thomas Hobbes believe in preserving order. Their writings paint pictures of strong sovereigns and obedient subjects. Yet while both men see it as wrong to overthrow a sovereign, they recognize that sovereigns are overthrown and that the sovereigns must do what they can to prevent this. On top of that both men see different causes for their sovereignsââ¬â¢ creation, set different ends for their sovereigns, and would limit the actions of the sovereigns to those specific ends. Hobbes, whose sovereign is created as an alternative to the state of nature, places the possibility of the state collapsing as the limits of that sovereignââ¬â¢s power. Luther, whose rulers are appointed by God,â⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦He writes that there are two different kinds of people. One kind of person is the true Christian, who does not need rulers but would willingly do more than is asked by any ruler. The other kind of person is someone who, without a strong ruler, woul d cause disorder. The rulers keep these people in line. God appoints them and, like the peasants, they will be called in the end to justify to God what they have done. What limits do the two men place upon their rulers? The most obvious limits are the conditions for which the sovereign may be overthrown. Neither Hobbes nor Luther are in favor of a sovereign being overthrown and both talk against the idea of men judging their rulers. However, at the same time they do caution their rulers to acknowledge the limits that the risk of being overthrown imposes on them. Both men say that is wrong for the people to judge their rulers. Hobbesââ¬â¢ disapproval comes from his understanding of the nature of the relationship between sovereign and subjects. For him it would be wrong because the sovereign, having been given the assignment to keep peace, must be given also the means. Judging the sovereign would come to close too denying the sovereign the means to do his job and bringing the commonwealth back towards the state of nature. Luther does not use the same method of definition and argument and nor does he view the relationship between sovereign and subjects as a voluntary contract.
